Mayor Michael A. Nutter issued the following statement regarding the recent appointments by Mayor-elect Jim Kenney of current City officials to positions within the new Administration:
“I want to congratulate the men and women who have served in my Administration and who have been chosen by Mayor-elect Kenney to continue serving the citizens of Philadelphia under his Administration,” said Mayor Nutter. “We have been working hard to create a seamless transition leading up to Inauguration Day on January 4, 2016, and retaining these senior appointees will undoubtedly strengthen the Kenney Administration as it begins serving the citizens of this city on day one.
Clearly Mayor-elect Kenney values talented people – and whether those people are currently serving in the government, are close to him through his previous government service, as well as people who are new to government – having great talent has been the key to all of our success during my time as Mayor. I wish the already-announced appointees who are currently with the City, Michael DiBerardinis, Richard Ross, Rob Dubow, Rebecca Rhynhart and Amy Kurland, and any yet-to-be-announced appointees much success as they continue working to guide the City of Philadelphia in the right direction. It is my goal to do all that we can to ensure the success of Mayor-elect Kenney’s Administration on behalf of the citizens of this great city.”
