Opening to much fan fair on Sept. 23, SugarHouse, the first casino in Philadelphia and second to Parx in the metro area, recorded $4.7 million in slots revenue in its first week of operation, state gaming regulators said on Oct. 4. SugarHouse is located on the Delaware riverfront and currently has 1,600 slot machines and 40 live table games.
However, this figure does not include additional revenue from table games, which will be announced later this month. In Pennsylvania slots revenue is taxed at 55 percent.
