Did you see what is going on outside? The heaviest rain occurs late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Right before Thanksgiving Day, one of the busiest travel times of the year!
According to CBS News, “temperatures struggled to climb out of the 20s, and several cities in the region — including Philadelphia — are under a code blue”.
Los Angeles Times report, that “the storm dumped nearly a foot of snow in parts of northern New Mexico, prompted hundreds of flight cancellations in Texas and caused several deadly traffic accidents across the region”. Now a messy winter storm is moving across the eastern half of the United States. Winter storm watches are in effect for western PA and interior New England for accumulating snow.
” With the recent arctic air mass in place, a period of snow, sleet or freezing rain with light accumulation is possible in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos initially, before changing over to all rain as temperatures warm into the 40s.,”meteorologists said.
Windy conditions are also expected.
Philadelphia Airport is expected to experience some weather problems on Wednesday. Those traveling over the next several days should check with their local National Weather Service office for updates and weather advisories, forecasters advise.
