Every year, the United States Government makes available 50,000 diversity visas (DV) or green cards through the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, also known as the Green Card Lottery. These green cards are randomly given to people that apply by a computer generated drawing program. Anyone who is selected will be given the opportunity to apply for a United States Permanent Resident Card, also known as, Green Card.
According to official web-site, ” enrollment into the DV-2014 Diversity Visa Lottery program is open to all individuals world-wide, however, there are two entry requirements that you must meet before you can enter the USA DV-Lottery:
To enter the DV-2014 Diversity Visa Green Card Lottery you must be native of a country with a low immigration rate to the USA to qualify for the USA Diversity Visa Lottery. People born in countries with high U.S. immigration are excluded from this Diversity Visa Lottery. Please see the list below of countries whose natives are currently excluded from the USA Diversity Lottery. Please note that eligibility is determined only by the country of your birth, not based on country of citizenship or current residence. This is the most common misperception.”
Information about natives of countries, that are excluded from entering the DV-2014 Diversity Visa Lottery program this year, you could find here //www.green-card-dv-lottery.com/requirements/
A Green Card will allow you to live, work, and study anywhere in the United States and it is the first step on the road to obtain American Citizenship. To enter the USA 2012 Green Card Lottery DV-2014 Program you must qualify with either the education or the work experience requirement.
Note that you will not need to submit proof that you satisfy these requirements at the moment of applying for the 2012 USA Green Card Lottery, but it will be requested in case you win a Green Card to the United States.
