The Starr Restaurant Organization (SRO) would be opening at least four new restaurants in Philadelphia in 2011.
Il Pittore is one of them, that is coming to the old Deux Cheminees space in Midtown Village in spring 2011 and serving authentic Italian fare.
Another one yet-to-be-named restaurant should be open in the middle of April in the old Washington Square space. It will be the team from: Starr, Aimee Olexy of Talula’s Table fame on this one. The garden setting and open dining room will be complemented with top-notch cuisine.
The beer garden German-style Starr is planning for Fishtown:10,000-square foot just off Frankford Avenue across from Johnny Brenda’s. They are hoping to be open in time for summer 2011.
And one more, a casual seafood restaurant on North Broad, in a new coming development. The working name of the project is “Route 6”. The restaurant will offer clambakes, lobster rolls, corn on the cob and pie. Outside there will be a spot for horseshoes.
